The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Service Impact, the Executive Manager, Children & Youth Services (EM C&YS) position is responsible for leading the operations of Junction care and protection services including Out of Care Services, therapeutic and after-hours support, quality, rostering and licencing functions. These services seek to equip and empower young people to overcome experiences of trauma to achieve self-determined independence, community participation and cultural connections that enable them to thrive.
This position oversees clinical and cultural governance and ensures quality, management of risk and ensures the voice of the child is central to business planning. The EM C&YS plays a critical role in the sector, contributing towards system improvements for children and their families through collaboration and advocacy at a state and national level. Working in close collaboration with internal and external partners, this role plays a key role in leveraging Junction’s unique model of place, housing, and support to create opportunities for growth and innovation to better meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess experience and demonstrate successful outcomes in key leadership roles within the child and youth services sector, with strong understanding of clinical and cultural governance. You will be a driver of innovation and continuous improvement, with an intimate understanding of service delivery and workforce strategy You must be an excellent communicator and negotiator, who is a collaborative and positive leader both internally and externally that will see you thrive in this environment, add value to Junction, it’s stakeholders and the wider community. Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or a related field are required and proven knowledge of trauma informed care and child protection frameworks.
