The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about finance and accounting but crave a deeper connection with your community? Join our Financial Insight and Navigation Service (FINS) team as a Financial Capability Worker!
This part-time role is perfect for those seeking a balanced work-life schedule while making a tangible difference in people's lives. You will leverage your financial expertise to help individuals build financial resilience and avoid crises. Working closely with our partner agency, Kornar Winmil Yunti, you will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, ensuring they receive the financial education and assistance they need.
This is your chance to use your skills to empower individuals, advocate for their rights, and contribute to a program that promotes financial well-being and self-direction. About you:
We are seeking a people person who:
- Has demonstrated experience in or understanding of supporting individuals/families who are at risk of or experiencing financial hardship
- Possesses strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Knows of, and respects cultural and lifestyle differences
- Has the ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a team
- Holds a Certificate IV Community Services or equivalent and substantial experience in the field

You Will Need To:
