The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's financial well-being? Here's your chance to join the Community Connections team as a Financial Counsellor based at our Hackham Office.
In this role, you will provide professional financial counselling services - whether face-to-face, in a group setting, over the phone, or online, to support clients in addressing financial concerns and improving their financial capability. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ financial situations, offer tailored information and options to support informed decision-making, and deliver budget training to strengthen financial literacy. Working closely with clients to set achievable financial goals and advocating with creditors on their behalf, you will play a vital role in helping individuals build the skills and resources needed for self-direction, lead fulfilling lives, and connect with opportunities that enable them to thrive.

About you:
We’re looking for a passionate team member who:
- Has experience in financial counselling roles 
- Possesses strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Has knowledge of, and respect, for cultural and lifestyle differences
- Has the ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a team
- Holds a Diploma of Financial Counselling
- Holds a membership or be eligible to become a member of the South Australian Financial Counselling Association (SAFCA)

You Will Need To:
- Complete our online application process

- Hold a current unencumbered Australian driver’s license and be willing to travel as required
- Undergo pre-employment testing as part of the recruitment process
